A Tradition in Motion – Our Journey Since 1875
Since 1875, our family business has continuously evolved. What began with a horse-drawn carriage has grown into the leading provider of mobility and travel services in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.

1875
From 1875 – The Pioneer Years
Nikolas Weber laid the foundations for a mobility and travel company the future scale of which he could not have foreseen. With a mail coach, he operated three lines twice a week: Canach–Remich, Canach–Wormeldange and Wormeldange–Roodt-Syre, extending all the way to the capital, “beim Piquet”.
1932
Emile Weber, supported by his wife Emilie Weber-Foch, takes over the business, which still bears his name today. As he was too young to obtain a bus driver’s licence, the business was temporarily converted into a freight transport company using lorries.
1946
One of these lorries, which had been carefully hidden in the forest during the Second World War and even used during the celebrations of Luxembourg’s liberation, was later converted into the company’s first bus. In the mornings, passengers were transported to the capital; during the day, the seats were removed, and the vehicle was used to transport livestock. In the evening, it was cleaned, the seats reinstalled, and the passengers brought back home.
1954
Growth in the 1950s and 1960s – The company benefits from a mobility boom
To meet growing demand, the fleet—already expanded—had to be enlarged once again. A landmark innovation was the introduction of the first bus with a trailer in Luxembourg, increasing passenger capacity.
1967
Under the initiative of Colette Heinisch-Weber, wife of Erny Heinisch, the company began a new phase of diversification. The first personalised brochure for organised coach tours was published.
1970
The company acquired the very first articulated bus in Luxembourg - another milestone in its history of innovation.
1972
Shortly after the publication of the first travel catalogue, the first travel agency was opened in Luxembourg City.

1977
Setting new standards in comfort, the company acquired its first Setra S213 HD coaches: 47 reclining seats, adjustable air conditioning, toilet with washbasin, fully automated ventilation, and an onboard bar with refrigerator – luxury that revolutionised coach travel.
1979
From “Rapid Canach” to “Voyages Emile Weber S.à r.l.”
The company was officially founded as “Voyages Emile Weber S.à r.l.” Prior to that, the buses operated under the name “Rapid Canach.”
In the same year, Luxembourg’s first accessible coach for passengers with reduced mobility was introduced – a milestone for inclusion and barrier-free travel.
1980
Fernand Weber and Colette Heinisch-Weber officially took over management of the business, supported by their spouses.
